what made them choose the colors purple, red,goldfor forbidden city?

i am doing a school project on the imperial palace i have to build a building, put the name on the roof in chinese, and write a paragraph on what the building is used for. I chose for the building to be used for a museum, but i have no idea what to write, and it is due tomorrow please help me i really need it yours truly,Arizona Rose Johnson.

As I know, purple means dignity; red stands for happiness and good fortune; yellow is the color of land, it is the heart of everything, which stands for the sovereign power.
