Is it difficult to obtain a Chinese visa a from Bangkok?

My girlfriend and I are students from new zealand and we want to go to china just after new years. However, we did not have enough time to get the visa in new zealand. Is it difficult to apply when we are in bangkok? We have an invitation letter.

Thanks

Michael, many foreigners have applied successfully in Bangkok. However, not all of them succeeded. I think you may give it a try. Good luck!
