About:China Visa Application in UK

I am a retired UK citizen resident in Spain. Can I apply for a China tourist visa in London?

Personally speaking, you can apply it in London since you are a UK citizen. You can choose to go to local CVASC for application in person or mail your documents to CVASC for applying.
