Applying a chinese visa in Hongkong

Hi, I am a filipino citizen with a Philippine Passport. I have been to hongkong not a month ago in less than 14 days. But I failed to go to the embassy to ask there. Can I apply If I am in Hongkong even though I am just a tourist there?

Emma, the authorities require that all applicants in HK must provide their resident status. I guess you don't have this, right? Then you'd better apply for it in your own country.
