About:Tibet Travel Tips

hi, could you tell me, what will be the tibet visa fee for foreigners?

some of my friends wants to ride from Kathmandu to Lhasa and back to Kathmandu, in which they wants to go Nyalam, Tingri, Xigantse, Lhasa, Gyantse, Shegar, Rongbuk and back to Kathmandu. so how much we will have to pay for tibet visa fee for single person.

If you want to go to Tibet, you need to get a Tibet Travel Permit, which is organized by a tour company. The fee for a travel permit is different from 150 to 200RMB based on different tour agency.

For the permit to other places, the fee is charged around 50RMB per person for one place. But the travel agency may charge some service fee.

Since you must join a tour group to visit Tibet, you are suggested to consult the agency to know the detail prices.
