About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit Visa for 30h in Beijing?

I am flying from Hamburg, Germany via Zurich, Swiss to Beijing. 30h later I will fly back via Zurich, Swiss to Germany. I think it is not possible to use the Transit G. If I buy a ticket from Beijing to Hongkong and back to Beijing, and don't fly it, will it be okay? Total time in Beijing is just about 30 hours. Thanks.

I am a little bit confused. You mean you just buy a ticket from Beijing to HK and use it to enter Beijing, but do not really take the flight from Beijing to HK? If so, it is not possible. You need to fill general information to apply for the stay permit. If the leaving ticket is different from the one you use for application, it may cause troubles for you.

Thanks for your answer.
Meant another thing: I have one ticket HAM-ZRH-PEK-ZRH-HAM. With this ticket I can not use 72h TWOV. So, if I want to travel without a visum, I have to leave Beijing. So I thought to buy another ticket PEK-HKG-PEK which allows me to use the TWOV. Is it a problem now when I do not fly from Beijing to Hongkong and just stay in Beijing for 30h? Do the officers in Beijing control if I flew the other ticket (PEK-HKG-PEK)?

If you do not fly out of Beijing to HK, you are not able to enjoy this policy. The passport and the tickets will be checked to see whether you are qualified for policy.
