About:China Visa on Arrival

Visa for 30h stay in Shenzhen

I am an Estonian citizen and my friend has no citizenship (has a residence permit in Estonia), we are travelling to Bali through Shenzhen ( Bao An airport). We will have to stay around 30 hours in Shenzhen. Do we need entry permit?
