About:China Visa Application Requirements

M Visa Renewal Requirments (URGENT)

I am from Australia and currently doing an on an single entry M that expires this month, however the company would like me to continue the internship and I was wondering If I could just go to HK to apply for an extension with the M I have already or If i will need apply for a completely new one with the invitation letter from my company. and how long would it take to get a new visa if need be?

Hi Jes.

It would be best to reapply for a new one, with an up to date invite letter.

You can do this at through a HK travel agent. There is one on Peking Street (off Nathan Road). If you can get there before 9:30am (they open at 9am) your visa will be ready to collect at 6:30pm the same day.

If your current M is be extended before, you can extend it just within China. The extension can be applied at the local Exit-Entry Adminstration Bureau. You are suggested to take necessary documents to show you need the extension in China, such as an introduction letter from your company. Within 7 working days, you will get the result to know whether you can get the extension or not.
