About:China Family Reunion Visa

I applied for a Q2 visa last year and has since then been expired. How about applying this time?

If I apply again this year do I still need to obtain an invitation letter from my relative in China? Or does the Chinese embassy have

You still need to get an invitation letter for your second application. Personally speaking, the embassy will not keep your invitation letter for such a long time.
