Can I (a guest) wear a black dress to a wedding in China?

Pam, some traditional old Chinese people may not accept black color because it is not auspicious. Also females should also avoid red and white dresses because most brides wear white wedding gowns and red formal dresses on their wedding day. For male guests, I think white color should also be avoided because the groom might wear white suit.4
