Single entry versus Multiple Entry Visa for US Citizen

I plan to take a group tour (through Hana Tour) to Beijin and Janga Ga Gye in spring next year and would like to get a tourist L in advance. Can I apply one without knowing exactly which tour program I will be taking? Also, can I apply for a multiple entry type without knowing what my next tour to China will be? I plan to take couple of other group tours sometime next year. Thanks in advance for your prompt response.

If you want to apply for a Tourist L, you need to provide a round trip tickets to China & hotel bookings or an invitation letter from a China tour company.

Since you will not know which tour programme is, do you know when is the departing time and when is the returning time? If you do not know them, you cannot book the round trip flights tickets. If you cannot provide an invitation letter now, you are unable to apply for a Tourist L.

If you cannot provide enough information to prove a multiple entry one is needed, you may be easily rejected to get a multiple entry one.
