About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indian citizen, Houston -> Beijing -> New Delhi. Transit G?

I'm an Indian citizen with US F-1 Visa. I'm travelling to India from US via Beijing and I have a 15 hr layover in Beijing. I want to go out and see the city in that time. Do I need a transit G? If yes, then could you please let me know how do I apply for it ?

Since you only stay in Beijing for 15 hours, no transit G is required. You just need to apply for a stay permit to leave the airport for sightseeing. The stay permit can be applied at the immigration counter with your valid passport and onward ticket with confirmed seat.
