About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I'm an airline employee and only have stand by tickets. Is this okay or do I need a confirmed ticket

I plan to visit Chengdu for 48 hours before returning to the USA. I'm an airline employee and we travel on stand by not confirmed tickets. I can show a copy of my stand by ticket with a departure w=in 48 hours back to the USA. Is this okay for visiting for 48 hours?

It is impossible to visit the city for 48 hours, because you are unable to enjoy the 72 hours. The 72-hour free transit is only available for passengers with confirmed seats and the stand by tickets are not available.
