About:Hong Kong Airport Express Travel Pass

Do all Airport Express Travel Passes carry a deposit?

I have a 2-ride such travel passes. On the back it says "This Octopus has no deposit." Does that mean that this particular pass does not carry the 50HKD deposit?

No, it is not. Actually, you can still get back your refundable 50HKD. "This Octopus has no deposit" means that it has no extra deposit if you use up the unlimted travel on MTR for 72h and the AE train travel. If you wanna use it on buses and ferries, you should top it up more.
