About:Cable Cars on Huangshan Mountain

Which telphers on Huangshan Mountain are working now?

I read the Yuping Telpher is closed. I will arrive in Tangkou 18:10 18/11/14. Where is the best place to spend the night for going up the mountain before the crowds? Is it a good idea to go up Taiping Telpher? How would I get there from Tangkou? I can't find the West Sea Telpher on any map. Please recommend a day & a half walk on the mountain. Thank you!!

You are right that the Yuping Telpher has been closed. For your travel, Taiping Telpher shall be a good choice. Upon getting to Tangkou by bus, you can transfer to another bus to Taiping directly for the cable car.

As I know, it won't be very crowded on the mountain during your travel date, Anyway, it would be best to stay in a hotel near the mountain scenic area. I would recommend the Haizhou Hotel near the main entrance of the mountain.

The West Sea telpher is located in the south side of West Sea Valle. It is a new one. If you would stay for a night on the mountain, this telpher is the best, because its upper station is only around 328yd (300m) from the Baiyun Hotel.
