About:China Visa on Arrival

I know it sounds like a silly question , but from when does the 72 hour period start .

Between our incoming plane's arrival, and the time of the departing plane leaving there are 74 hours.
As we all know, one does not go through customs the moment the plane lands and we will be going out
through customs a few hours before the plane leaves .
The question is do you think we may get away with the 72 hour visa???

Hi, may I know which airport will you use for transfering?
If you transfer in Beijing, the 72 hours are counted from the scheduled arrival time to the departure time. So you may not enjoy the policy.
If you transfer in other airports, the time is counted from the 00:00 the next day you arrive. It is possible to enjoy this policy.
