About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

What is the procedure to apply for a Chinese resident visa?

Can anyone help me? I want to find out about applying for it and the procedure please. th embassy in Melbourne and application centre is most unhelpful.

The resident permit cannot be applied out of China. Outside China, you can only apply S1, Q1, X1, Z and J1. Then with them, you need to go to the local PSB to change them to a resident permit within 30 days you enter China.

If you want to know the detail required documents, you may need to tell me which type you plan to apply or what is your purpose to visit China.
