Question about a chinese "western medication".

I currently have a cough and the family I am staying with took me to their local "doctor". He had some "western medication" and told me to take these pills (3x a day, 2 pills at a time).

I did not get much of an explanation about what it is unfortunately, and I am somewhat suspicious. It is in a factory sealed container and it says its is made by Yunnan Dianchi Pharmaceutical co. ltd. The box is green and the part of the label I can read in english says "Fufangyanbiacaisu Pian". I can't find any information online, and I cant do any research in Chinese.

Does anyone know what this is? I appreciate any assistance or advice. Thank you very much.

Fufangyanbaicaisu Pian is a kind of medicine that can relieve cough and eliminate phlegm. Many Chinese doctors in countryside prefer to prescribe pills to the patients in this way. If you are still suspicious, you may go to a hospital and ask doctors there to prescribe some medince.
