72 hour visa free in shanghai

Question

We are us citizens and are flying from lax to singapore stay 3 days , then fly to hong kong spend one night then wanted to fly from hong kong to SH city stay 72 hour, back to hong kong stay 2 nights and then home to lax. Can I do a 72 hour visa in the city with this schedule?? Thanks

Oh, I'm afraid that you cannot apply this visa with this schedule. This kind of visa does not apply to passengers who travel on round trip flights, which means the destination and place of departure can not be the same.
