I am planning to travel to Xining and then take the train to Lhasa. But I am confused as to when is a good time to go there and what kind of weather to expect at both places. Thanks

Roshini, the best time to visit Xining and Lhasa is August. If you visit Qinghai Lake, you may see yellow cole flowers on each side of the road. Also the green grass is attractive. The temperature in Lhasa is 10 to 21 degrees celsius. In Xining, it is 11 to 24 degrees celsius. It's cool but the ultra-violet light is strong. You'd better bring sun-screen cream to protect your skin.
