About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

UK - Hong Kong - Shanghai (less than 72hrs) - Hong Kong - UK

Hi, I am flying to Hong Kong from the UK early next week and at short notice have been invited to Shanghai for 2 days. I would then fly back to Hong Kong for a few more days before heading back to the UK. My Chinese Visa ran out in July so would I be able to benefit from the 72hr free transit?

Your trip cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit in Shanghai, since your trip HK - Shanghai - HK is a round trip. So you need to apply for a single entry one before going to Shanghai.
