About:Beijing Transportation Smart Card

Smart card from PEK

I'll have a 3 days stay in Beijing.Is it possible to purchase a card from PEK airport and to return it in the same place?I saw it's free to borrow such a card.Did I understand well? Thx to anyone who will answer me.

Yes, you can get such a card and return it at the Airport Express Train ticket office at T2 and T3 in the airport. Actually, it is a card with 20RMB refundable fund. You can get a card with the value of 50RMB or 100RMB. After using that, you can get the refund when returning the card.

Thanks a lot for your very quick answer Henry! So, if I take a card with 100 CNY and, when returning, on the card there are still let's say 50 CNY I get back the whole ammount or only 20 CNY?

Oh, you can get the whole amount (the left money and refund).
