Hi there,
I am leaving China but my residence permit doesn't expire for another 3 months, do I have to get it cancelled before I leave the country?

According to the laws, the resident permit needs to be cancelled and it is usually done by the company. However, I heard many people leave China without cancelling their resident permit. It is OK.
