About:China Visa Application in USA

single entry/multiple entries

Hi,
I am planning on visiting friends in Shanghai in November for a total of 9 days. From Shanghai I will take a two day trip to Beijing and perhaps Xi-an. I thought I had read that if I fly from Shanghai to Beijing I would need a visa for multiple entries, even if I don't leave the country. Now I can't find anything that seems to state that. If I am flying within the country but not leaving China, will it be okay to just have a single entry visa? Or will I need to get a double or multiple entry visa?

Thank you.

A single entry one is OK, since you fly inside China. Personally speaking, the information you got in the past is wrong.
