About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

4.5 hour stop-over at PVG

YVR-PVG-SIN. My stop-over in PVG is only 4.5 hours, but I want to go out to have lunch with relatives who live in Shanghai. Do I still need to register at the Police station?

What is the cost of the transit Visa.

You do not need to register since you only stay there for 4.5 hours. For your case, you do not need to apply for a Transit G, but only need to apply for a stay permit at the airport to leave the airport. Applying for a stay permit is for free.
