I have not applied yet, but my company will be applying for a tourist L for our 10 day visit to customer meetings in several cities in China.

According to the rules, it is illegal to use Tourist L for your business trip. However, since you stay in China for only 10 days and do not purchase items, you can apply for a Tourist L for your trip. Remember not to tell your business purpose when applying Tourist L, otherwise, you may get rejected to get it.
