shanghai to tianjin round trip

What is the best way to go from Shanghai to Tianjin round trip? fly or bullet train?Is there child ticket for bullet train? How far ahead should I buy the ticket online?

There are many G-types available between the two cities which takes only about 5 to 6 hours. The child ticket price is the half of the adult. It would be better you can buy it 20 days in advance since the tickets will be released to public by China Railway authority at that time.
