About:Kunming Airport

Transit in Kunming Airport

I am travelling from Kolkata to Hong kong and need to transit for 12 hours do i need a visa if i have to stay in a hotel outside the airport , how are the transit lounges in the airport and do i need to make any booking

No, you don’t need a visa. But if you get out of the airport, you need apply for a stay permit. Don’t worry about that, you can get one easily.

And there are hourly lounges in the airport, and there is no need to book it in advance, you can check in upon your arrival.
