As I know, the Malaysian currency can be exchanged to Chinese yuan at the Bank of China. Just find a branch nearby to have a try! Good luck.

I remember my friend from Malaysia succeeded exchanging some at the general branch of the Bank of China. It is located at no. 35, section two, Middle Renmin Road, Qingyang District. You can go for a try. Or you can dial the hotline throughout China of the bank to confirm it in advance: 95566.

If it still doesn't work, the last option is that try to exchange that at Shuangliu Airport. Wish you luck.
