About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Do I need a visa for business travel in China?

I'm a Mexican citizen currently residing in Mexico, I want to go to China for 2 weeks for business, do I need it or can I just travel to China and do the paperwork there?

You want to make trade or commercial activities in China?
If so, a M type is needed to apply in advance in the Chinese embassy in your country.

I just want to visit some factories that sell steel pipes, so that I can get prices and then sell them in Mexico. I would need a M type then?

That means that you will not buy or sell something in China, but plan to know the prices?
If so, you may need to apply for a F type.
