I'd really appreciate your advice on a few questions regarding my 1st trip to China...

I hope to fly to China's Guangzhou airport to meet my Chinese wife-to-be. It is our intention to stay a few days in Guangzhou and then travel to the city of Guilin where she currently works.

After a few days we intend to travel to Shenyang where her family lives and get married there.

I am not a Danish national but I am a UK citizen with full and valid residency in Denmark and I understand I would have to pay dkk 250 for a Single-Entry with 3-month Validity visa plus dkk 275 Application Service Fees.

As I have never been to China before, could you please inform me if I just need to apply for a tourist L, or do I also need a "Letter of Invitation" from my future wife.

I know I have to have a verified/certified "Single Status" declaration with me.

Do I need permits or anything else so I can travel from Guangzhou to Guilin to Shenyang, (and back again, of course)?
