Temporary Residence Permit requirement

Hello! I have got the Z category 30 day visa for working in China and because of that, my wife was given the S1 to accompany me. Can anyone kindly let me know what other documents will be required when we apply for our Temporary Residence Permits when we arrive in China? Our employer thinks that we will need an copy of our marriage certificate that is authenticated by a Chinese consulate in the USA (the country of our residence). However, the officer has already taken a copy of our non-authenticated marriage certificate, before issuing and stamping the S1 on my wife's passport. While I am a US citizen, my wife is not and our marriage certificate is from a foreign country. The Chinese authentication process is very tedious and long. I will truly appreciate an informed opinion and comment. Thanks in advance for your help!

The required documents are:
1.Your passport and Z visa
2.Filled temporary accommodation registration form
3.Your company’s business license, organization code certification
4.Your work permit
5.Physical examination result paper from local international travel healthcare center.

For your wife, she has to provide your marriage certificate. However, it doesn’t specify whether it has to be authenticated by Chinese embassy or consulate general. I think you may ask your employer to consult with local entry and exit management bureau. They can tell the detailed requirements and whether your marriage certificate should be certified by Chinese embassy.
