About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I am an American living in Korea and would like to get a visa to china or a weekend.

Do I need to schedule an appointment? and how do I do so?

Do you have a ARC card?
If you do not have a ARC card with at least 6 months remaining validity, you cannot apply in Korea. If you have it, you can apply through the local CVASC and no appointment is not needed. You just need to handle all your needed documents to that center and then wait for the result.
