About:Chinese Consulates in South Africa

Visa extension in Hong Kong

Hi there,

I have been offered an ESL job in Beijing, they have asked me to go over on a three month tourist L and then to apply for the working Z in Hong Kong. Is this really possible? I am a South African.

It may be possible to get a Z type in HK if you have necessary documents, because I saw many people did it. However, in order to make sure, you are suggested to enter China after you get a Work Z. If you are found by Chinese police teaching with a Tourist L, you will be fined for this illegal thing.
