About:China Tourist Visa

applying for a Tourist L when backpacking

hello, I am backpacking in Indonesia and wish to spend about 2 weeks in Beijing. I am an Australian citizen and do not wish to travel to Australia just to apply for a Visa. Is this possible in Indonesia or Singapore?

It is suggested to go to Singapore to have a try. Before going there, you are suggested to contact the local Chinese embassy for confirming. If they do not issue, you can try to apply in HK through a local tour agency, because I saw many people gain through that way.
