Is it okay that we will not have a hotel reservation when we go to macau?

We're planning to go to Hong Kong next thing in the morning and we're staying at our friend's. Do we still need an invitation letter to enter or is it okay that we dont have any cos we're leaving after a day then be back after few days.

The invitation letter is needed to enter HK to show that you will stay with your friends. But no need to show that when getting into Macao. Don't worry!
