a day trip to shenzhen from hk

Hi  i'm from Malaysia planning to travel KUL_HK_SZ_KUL on my own. Is visa required to enter SZ from HK?Besides train, any MTR or Subway?How to travel around the city for 1 or 2 day trip?Which area nearest to MTR ?

Yes, you need a visa to tour SZ. Actually, train (HK MTR - East Rail Line) and cross-border coach are the best ways to travel from HK to the city. In this city, I would recommend you make full use of local metro. The local metro system covers several districts, but it would be best to stay near Dongmen, Luohu District, within walking distance to Laojie metro station.
