About:China Visa Application in USA

Not enough time to get Chinese visa during my visit to a foreign country. Can I apply for it here?

I am planning to visit S. Korea in October. My arriving date to Seoul will be Oct. 2(Thur.), 2014 afternoon.
The scheduling departure date of my Beijing tour group, arranged by 'Hana Tourist Co.' is Oct. 6(Mon.).

I have only 1 business day(Oct. 3, Friday) before I start my Being tour because Oct 4 and 5 are no business days.
I consulted with 'Hana Tourist Co.', they said there is no enough time to apply in Seoul. They recommended that I must get the visa here in L.A. In this ssituation, is it O.K. to apply here at Consul. General office, L.A.?

I have a e-mail copy of 'reservation'and tour schedule of Beijing tour(only 4days) , conducted by 'Hana Tourist Co.' Do I need any other document to get the Visa ?

Kim, you should apply from the consulate that has jurisdiction right in your area. In order to apply for a L type, round-trip air tickets and hotel reservation are required, apart from your passport, completed application form attached with a recent passport photo.
