weekendtrip from chengdu

Hello,My friends and me planing a weekendtrip from Chengdu to Leshan giant Buddha and Mount Emei. We would go on Saturday morning from Xinnanmen to the Buddha and in the afternoon to Emeishan and spend the night there. Sunday early morning go to the top of the Mountain and in the late afternoon back to Chengdu. What you think is it possible with this schedule or do we need two days at the Mount?Thank you for your answer.

Hi, your plan is doable. It only takes around 2 hours from Chengdu to Leshan for the Buddha. You can spend several hours there. In the next mroning, at Leshan Xiaoba Tourist Bus Station, take a direct bus to Emeishan Baoguosi Bus Station (at the foot of the mountain) and buses for the trip are scheduled from 07:30 to 17:00.
