Chinese visa for Italian passport

Dear Sir,
Would you please confirm that an Italian passport does not require for a single entry of 4 days?

Claudia, you should apply for a visa in advance for your 4 days duration in China. Do you come for a trip? If so, you should apply for a L type. It requires round-trip air tickets and hotel reservation apart from your passport, application form and a recent passport photo.
