About:Beijing Taxi

Hi, I was wondering if taxi charges extra for luggages in Beijing?

How do you know if they are legal taxi drivers? For example in BJ their license plates start with B to know they are valid taxi drivers. Thank you very much!

No, there is no extra fee for luggage for taxi in the city. You can see TAXI on the top or the body of the official cabs.

Hi Carlin, Thank you for your post. In Beijing there are illegal taxi drivers but yet the car states TAXI. The only way to differentiate between legal and illegal in Beijing is license plate. Legal taxi drivers starts with “京 B”. I just wanted to make sure there we do go to legal taxi drivers in Xian.
