can i enter myanmar (burma) from kumming province or is the border shut?

First of all, I'd like to remind you that Kunming is the capital city of Yunnan province. I heard one is allowed to cross the border to Muse (Burma) from Yunnan Ruili. But you need to prepare some documents, which you'd better consult a travel agency in advance.2
