Good Morning, Please confirm for me if a Visa is required for me to attend a symposium China

Good Morning,
I will travel to Beijing China to attend a symposium for one day (9/9/2014). My travel dates are 9/7–9/10, 2014 and if so how best to get it completed before my travels 9/6/20-14

Yes, you need one to attend that symposium, but currently, time may not be enough for application. You are suggested to consult the embassy/consulate to apply for whether you can apply for an express service or so.
