Moon Harvest Festival- Beijing

Are any of the major attractions closed on the Harvest moon festival, September 8th? Do you suggest I go to the Great Wall on that day or will it be overly packed? Will there be any major celebrations for the holiday, I would like to take part in something like that, where should we go on the 8th? I have 3 full days in the city... Sunday-Tuesday. What do you suggest me do on each day?

No, all the attractions will open. Don't worry! And I suggest you go to the Great Wall in the early morning during your stay, when it won't be very crowded. I heard the Huanghuacheng Great Wall will have some activities for the festival. Besides, during Sep. 6-8, Lantern Party will be held in Tiananmen Square and Longtanhu Park. Some special activities can also be enjoyed at the Altar of the Moon(Yuetan Park).
