Does a Nepali passport need a transit visa to travel via Beijing airport?

I am travelling from Canada to Singapore, transiting Beijing for couple of hours. I am a citizen of Nepal and travelling on a Nepali passport? I have been living in Canada since 2006. Now, do I need some permit if I transit from Beijing?

How long will you stay in Beijing?
If it is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24-hour free transit. If it is over 24 hours, you need to apply for a Transit G for your transfering.
