About:Shanghai Bus and Metro

If i wan't to take a bus to go to a certain destination in Shanghai (continue on details)

then i don't know when we arrive at a certain location because most are in chinese, so how do we know when we reach there? Do we have to ask the bus driver to tell us or something? Or is it notable once we get there?

To take bus in the city, you'd better have the Chinese characters of your destination and show that to the driver or a passenger onboard and they will tell you where to get off.
