About:Chinese Clay Figurine Museum

1 day stay permit form Shanghai Airport to look around city

I would like to fly from Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam to Shanghai China. There is about 16 hours between arrival and departure time for the return flight. I want to go into shanghai city for maybe about 8 hours to look around. Do I need to get a visa for this situation? I heard that you can get a stay permit for the day but I cannot find any official information about this. I am Australian citizen.

Back to ho chi minh city. It is a round trip

If so, you need to apply for a Single Enty Tourist L for visiting Shanghai, because you have a round trip instead of making transfering in China.
