About:Chinese Embassy in Oman

What is the procedure of tourist visa for the citizens of Pakistan? what are the requirements?

I am a Pakistani Expat in Oman. I would like to travel to China from Muscat, would you guide me about the procedure of getting tourist L for China? I mean what documents I would really need to apply for it?

You go to Oman for visiting or you live there?
If you live there, you can take your valid passport, application form with recent taken photo, hotel bookings in China, round trip tickets to China and your proof of your legal status in Oman to try to apply through the local embassy.

If you go to Oman for a short visit, you are suggested to consult with the local embassy for confirming whether you can apply there or not.

but I got to ask an other question.. which is about invitation letter, cause I have heard that invitation letter is also a must to avail a tourist visit in China, I am not sure whether its true or false.... cause, if I am a tourist it means that most certainly I don't know anyone there, so there is no way I could get an invitation letter from someone who doesn't know me.

On the other hand, I can get hotel booking, return air tickets and other necessary documents to prove my legal stay in the country. so the thing is that , if I have all these things, would I still have to get an invitation letter to get an " L " visa ( tourist type) ? Please someone tell me in details... thank you in advance...

Hi, Muneer.
For your confusion, you are highly recommended to suggest the embassy directly.
According to the rules, Pakistan people are not allowed to apply a Tourist L as an individual in their country. However, you are in Oman, so things may be a little bit different, so it is suggested so. The embassy will tell you the detailed requirements.
