About:Beijing Capital Airport Express Train

Arriving at beijing airport at 13.00hrs and have a connecting flight at 20.20hrs

can I safely leave my carry on bag at the airport, then take the express train to do some sightseeing, if so, which train do I take, where do I get off and where do I head for?

Yes, there are luggage-left offices in the airport and it is safe enough to store your luggage there.

As your time is so limited, you must prefer an efficient sightseeing. Well then, express train may not be the best choice. I suggest you take shuttle bus line 2 to Xidan and then transfer to subway line 1 and get off at Tiananmen East and then walk to the square for a visit. If you are interested, take a quick visit in the Forbidden City. After that, use subway line 1 or a taxi to Wangfujing pedestrian for simple shopping. Make sure that you arrive the airpor 2-3h in advance.
