if i want to stay with a friend for 15days  and not in a hotel, what is the documentation required

You need to ask your friend to write you an invitation letter. Then you can use this invitation letter, your personal statement, your working proof or your bank statement with 6 monthes' deposite, and other documents the embassy requires to apply a Tourist L through your nearby CVASC in India.
